XREAL Air 2

Name: XREAL Air 2
Brand: XREAL
Price: 199 USD

XREAL Air 2 is a pair of display glasses (a wearable screen) from XREAL. It starts at $199 in the United States (sale (regular $249); both colors sold out on 2026-10-04). XREAL sells or supports it in 2 countries. XREAL Air 2 went on sale recently.

The Air 2 is the plainest pair in XREAL's catalog: a wired display with 1920x1080 per eye, a 46-degree view and 500 nits, no X1 chip and no battery. At 72 g it is lighter than every One series model. Plug it into a USB-C device that outputs DisplayPort video, such as a USB-C iPhone, a Mac or PC, a Steam Deck, a ROG Ally, a tablet or an Android phone with DP output, and it mirrors that device's screen. That is the whole job, with no anchoring or on-glasses processing on top. On 2026-10-04 both colors, Grey and Red, were sold out on XREAL's US store, while the UK store still listed it on sale. XREAL also lists TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certification for flicker-free, low-blue-light viewing.

Good fit

UK buyers, mostly, who want the cheapest XREAL route to a big private screen for a phone or laptop and can live without head tracking.

Look elsewhere if

Skip it if you are in the US, where it is sold out, or if you want the picture pinned in place while you move. The xbx a01+ is XREAL's current lower-cost line, and the XREAL One adds the X1 chip.

Limitations to know before you buy

No X1 chip. The anchoring and on-glasses processing XREAL builds around X1 start with the One series.
Stock is thin. Sold out in the US; only the UK store lists it.
Air-series lens inserts. One series inserts don't fit, and XREAL publishes no prescription range.
DisplayPort is still required. A phone whose USB-C port only charges can't send a picture to these glasses.
Fit adjusts through three nose pad sizes and a three-position temple. There is one frame size.

Questions people ask

Will the Air 2 work with my laptop?

If the laptop's USB-C port carries video, yes; XREAL's store page names Mac and PC. HDMI-only laptops would need an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter, the route XREAL documents for its One series.

Can the Air 2 connect to a Switch?

XREAL's Hub lists the Air 2 among compatible glasses, and the Hub with power is XREAL's stated route for a Switch or Switch OLED.

What comes in the XREAL Air 2 box?

The glasses, a prescription lens frame, a detachable USB-C cable, a light shield, three nose pads, a travel case and a cleaning cloth. The light shield blocks the view through the lenses for darker viewing.

Where do I get prescription lenses for the Air 2?

The Air 2 product page points to Lensology and Rochester Optical, or to a local optician who can cut lenses for the included frame. XREAL doesn't publish the range they can make.

How much does XREAL Air 2 cost?

$199 in the United States, £169 in the United Kingdom, per XREAL's list prices.

Which countries is XREAL Air 2 sold in?

XREAL lists 2 countries: United Kingdom and United States. Bought elsewhere, it may work, but features and support can be missing.

Can I get XREAL Air 2 with prescription lenses?

Yes. Through partners (Air-series inserts). Range not published by XREAL.
