ROG XREAL R1
ROG XREAL R1 is a pair of display glasses (a wearable screen) from ASUS Republic of Gamers with XREAL. It starts at $849 in the United States (includes ROG Control Dock; US product page shows sizes sold out and 'expected to ship September 2026'). ASUS Republic of Gamers with XREAL sells or supports it in 27 countries. ROG XREAL R1 went on sale in June 2026.
The ROG XREAL R1 is XREAL's gaming model, co-branded with ASUS Republic of Gamers. Its headline is a refresh rate of up to 240Hz on 0.55-inch Sony micro-OLED panels with a 57-degree view, and unlike the One series it ships with the ROG Control Dock. That dock is the practical difference. It has two HDMI 2.0 inputs and a DisplayPort 1.4 input, so a desktop PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch can feed the glasses without a chain of adapters. Handhelds, laptops and DP Alt Mode phones still plug in directly over USB-C. The 240Hz figure depends on the source, and XREAL says Switch and phones may be limited to 60Hz.
Good fit
PC and handheld gamers who want high refresh on a private screen, and console owners who would rather use one dock than several adapters.

Limitations to know before you buy
- 240Hz is not universal. The source has to support it, and XREAL warns Switch and phones may stay at 60Hz. See 240Hz isn't available.
- Text can look softer at 240Hz. The boosted mode uses image processing, and XREAL says text may look slightly blurry as a result.
- Shipping status varies by store. The US page showed sizes sold out with shipping expected in September 2026, the UK and EU stores said Coming Soon, and the Japan store listed it as available.
- Two sizes by IPD. Size N covers 57-66mm and Size B 66-75mm, so check your measurement before ordering.
- It weighs 91 g, more than the 82 g 1S.
Set up and fix
