Meta VR Glasses
Meta VR Glasses is a pair of smart glasses with an in-lens display from Meta. It starts at $1,299.99 in the United States (spring 2027). Meta VR Glasses has been announced (23 September 2026) but is not on sale yet.
Despite the name, Meta VR Glasses are not everyday AI glasses. They are a virtual reality viewer in a glasses-like frame that weighs about 100 g, with micro-OLED displays and full-color passthrough. Compute, battery and storage live in a separate puck that connects by an optical tether and clips to a pocket or bag. Meta pitches them for 3D movies, live sports and games played with hand gestures, controlled by voice, eye tracking and hands. The puck is quoted at three hours of continuous high-resolution media playback. They are announced for spring 2027, and Meta has not named countries. - Prescription support, phone requirements and app details are not published.
- Resolution per eye and field of view are not published. Meta gives 37 pixels per degree.
