XREAL AURA has been announced (16 June 2026) but is not on sale yet.
XREAL AURA, formerly Project Aura, is announced and not yet shipping. Built with Google for Android XR, it changes how XREAL glasses work: instead of mirroring a phone, the glasses tether to a compute puck running Android XR on a Snapdragon Reality Elite chip. XREAL has confirmed optical see-through lenses with a 70-degree field of view, 1920x1200 per eye, hand tracking from two world-facing cameras, a separate camera with a privacy LED, five-level electrochromic dimming and Gemini by voice. The puck also has a USB-C DisplayPort input, so a PC, laptop or handheld can still drive the glasses. Launch is planned for fall 2026, and the final price has not been announced.
Good fit
People who want Android XR apps and Gemini in glasses rather than a headset, and who are comfortable reserving before the final price and battery life are published.
