Firmware update fails below 50%

Applies to Even G2.

A G2 firmware update that fails in the first half usually fails while the phone is sending the file. Even's checklist reflects that: a stable connection on the phone, the Even Realities app kept open in the foreground, and an up-to-date app. Retry from the failure screen first. If it fails again, Even's next step is a factory reset of the glasses from Device Information in the app, then another attempt, and after that a different network on the phone.

Official steps

  1. Make sure the phone has a stable connection, the app stays open in the foreground, and the app is up to date.
  2. Exit the failure screen and try the update again.
  3. In the app go to Device Information, tap Factory Reset, then retry the update.
  4. Switch the phone to a different network and retry.
  5. If it continues, send support the serial number, app logs and the percentage where it failed.
