Echo Frames (3rd Gen) with prescription lenses
Amazon offers prescription lenses for Echo Frames (3rd Gen) but has not published a range.[1]
Echo Frames are audio glasses with Alexa: no display and no camera, so the lens is just a lens. Amazon sells them as prescription-ready frames and points buyers to its Store Finder, which lists about 3,000 retail locations that can fit prescription lenses. Because there is no screen or camera to work around, any optician who accepts the frame should be able to handle a typical prescription, but Amazon doesn't publish a range. These are a fit for someone who wants Alexa and private audio in their normal glasses, and nothing more. If you want a camera or an assistant that can see, look at Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 instead. Amazon names three routes once the frames arrive: an online lens service called Boomerang, your own optician, or a provider from Store Finder, which lists chains such as MyEyeDr., Visionworks and Eyeglass World.
How to order
- Buy the frames; Amazon lists versions with blue-light filtering lenses.
- Use Amazon's Store Finder to locate a participating lens retailer near you.
- Take the frames and your prescription to that retailer to have lenses fitted.
Watch out for
- No published range. The retailer decides what it can fit.
- Lens fitting is a separate purchase from a separate business, with its own return terms.
- We haven't verified sale of this model outside the US.
