XREAL 1S with prescription lenses
XREAL offers prescription lenses for XREAL 1S but has not published a range.[1]
1S, XREAL's current mainline pair, uses the same clip-in prescription lens frame as the original One, and the frame ships in the box without lenses. If you already have One inserts, they carry over. New buyers order custom lenses on XREAL's store, giving the full prescription plus pupil distance. Index options are 1.6 and 1.67; coatings are standard or blue-light-blocking. A third-party partner makes them, and the US store quotes production in 1-4 business days with roughly 10 business days to arrive from China. Because they are made to order, XREAL won't take them back unless there's a quality problem, so double-check your numbers. Air-series lenses are a different shape and won't fit. If you wear progressives, ask XREAL first: the order form takes sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye plus pupil distance, and it doesn't list an add power.
How to order
- Reuse One inserts if you have them; otherwise order XREAL One prescription lenses for 1S.
- Enter your prescription and pupil distance carefully at checkout.
- Pick index and coating, then wait for delivery from China.
- Clip the filled frame in behind the display.
Watch out for
- Made-to-order lenses are non-returnable except for defects.
- XREAL publishes no range. Frame of Choice lists +4.00 to -10.00 sphere for its One-compatible inserts.
- Delivery from China adds days on top of production.
- Copy the signs exactly. XREAL's form reminds you that minus means nearsighted and plus means farsighted, and a lens made with the wrong sign is still a custom order XREAL won't refund.
- Tinted and photochromic lenses aren't offered; 1S dims its front lens electronically for bright light.
