How to change the Meta AI voice and language on your glasses
Meta AI on the glasses speaks one language at a time, in a voice you pick. All three settings, language, voice and speaking rate, live together under the glasses' Meta AI section in the Meta AI app, under Language and voice. Change them, then tap Save. Meta lists 13 languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain) and Telugu. It says 18 more are offered through partners and need Wi-Fi.
Change Meta AI language, voice and speaking rate
For Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), Meta Glasses (Adventurer, Fury, Starfire, Capri, Nova), Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2), Oakley Meta Vanguard, Meta Ray-Ban Display, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2), Oakley Meta HSTN, Ray-Ban Meta Audio, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) and Ray-Ban Stories.
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap Glasses in the top right.
- Tap Device settings.
- If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to adjust settings for before tapping Device settings.
- Under Glasses, tap your glasses.
- Tap Meta AI.
- Tap Language and voice.
- From here, you can: Tap Language to select a different language for Meta AI. Select a new speaking rate by tapping on the slider. Tap next to a voice to select a new voice.
- After you've made any changes, tap Save.
Meta AI languages listed: Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain), Telugu; 18 more via partners (Wi-Fi required). Tips
- Partner languages may not support every feature. See partner languages.
- The speaking-rate slider runs from 0.75x to 1.75x, according to Be My Eyes' FAQ for the glasses.
- Some features follow the Meta AI language. Meta says music requests in India, for example, need English as the default language.

Questions people ask
How do I start Meta AI after changing the language?
Say "Hey Meta" or tap and hold the touchpad, the same as before. Meta AI then answers in the language you selected.
