Using conversation focus on Meta glasses

Conversation focus boosts the voice of the person in front of you in a noisy place, using the glasses' microphones and open-ear speakers. Meta says it is available through the Early Access Program in the US and Canada and is free to use. It is not available on Ray-Ban Meta Optics, Meta Glasses or Meta Ray-Ban Display. Meta's release note names Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta HSTN; support on Gen 1, Gen 3 and Vanguard is unconfirmed. The first time, the app plays a short audio tour.

Start conversation focus

For Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) and Oakley Meta HSTN.

  1. Say "Hey Meta, start conversation focus."
  2. Tap Glasses, then Conversation focus in the Meta AI mobile app.
  3. Adjust amplification: swipe forward on the touchpad to increase the amplification level and swipe back to decrease it.
  4. To stop: Say "Hey Meta, stop conversation focus." or take off your glasses and fold the arms closed.

First use requires the audio tour. Meta: "This feature is not available on Ray-Ban Meta optics, Meta Glasses, or Meta Ray-Ban Display". Device scope = models named in the v22 release note ("Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta HSTN"); the article itself names only exclusions, so Gen 1, Gen 3 and Vanguard support is unconfirmed.
