Best smart glasses for prescription wearers in 2026

Prescription support is where smart glasses differ most, and it often decides the purchase. Some makers build your lenses into the frame, some sell clip-in inserts, and many video glasses have dials for nearsightedness. Published ranges run from -4.00 to +4.00 on Meta Ray-Ban Display to -12.00 to +12.00 sphere on Even G2. Before buying, check that your sphere and cylinder fit, whether progressives are offered, and whether Rx can be ordered where you live. Our prescription hub lists each device's published range. Worth waiting for: the Warby Parker Intelligent Eyewear, where Warby Parker cites its prescription expertise but no range is published yet.

  1. Best overall for Rx wearers: Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2)
  2. Best camera glasses with a confirmed range: Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2)
  3. Widest range with a display: Even G2
  4. Widest stated range, camera without display: Rokid Ai Glasses Style
  5. Best video glasses with built-in correction: VITURE Luma

How we ranked

We ranked by published prescription range, the lens types offered (single vision, progressive, Transitions), how you order (online, opticians, inserts), and whether the frame is designed for Rx wearers. Ranges are the makers' figures in their own terms, total power or sphere, and we note conflicts between official pages. We never test lenses, and your optician has the final word on whether a frame suits your prescription.

1. Best overall for Rx wearers

Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2)

-12.00 to +6.00 SPH+CYL

Meta designed this pair for prescription users, with overextension hinges, interchangeable nose pads and temple tips an optician can adjust. Opticians can fit single-vision, progressive and Transitions lenses, and the published range is -12.00 to +6.00 SPH+CYL. Press reports say it shares Gen 2's camera, and it runs the same Meta AI features.

Watch out: $499 before lenses. It is sold in the US and Japan so far, with more countries promised later in 2026, and Meta excludes it from conversation focus.

-12.00 to +6.00 total power

Meta's help page gives -12.00 to +6.00 total power, ordered as a complete Rx pair from Ray-Ban.com or certified optical retailers. You get the full Ray-Ban Meta feature set, 3K video and 8 hours of typical use, and Gen 2 is sold in more countries than any other Meta model. Frames come in Wayfarer, Skyler and Headliner.

Watch out: An older Ray-Ban PDF gives a narrower -6.00 to +4.00, so confirm with the retailer. Meta's page doesn't mention progressives for Gen 2.

-12.00 to +12.00 (sphere, per Even's G2 pages); support center lists SPH +8.00 to -12.00 and CYL ±0.25 to ±4.00

Even lists -12.00 to +12.00 sphere on its G2 pages, with lenses built into the frame. You enter your prescription at checkout or email it to Even's optical team after ordering. Progressive lenses are available through Even's retail stores with professional fitting. The 36 g frame has a binocular display and no camera. Lenses are Mitsui Chemicals MR series material.

Watch out: Even's support center gives a narrower SPH +8.00 to -12.00 and CYL up to ±4.00. Online orders exclude prism and reading-only lenses, and Italy and Saudi Arabia get non-prescription only.

Rokid's press release lists prescription support from plano to ±15.00D, the widest stated range on this page. It is a 38.5 g camera AI pair rated at 12 hours of daily use that works with ChatGPT, Qwen, DeepSeek and others. Rokid's global store had it at $299 on sale, and the launch bundle at $398 included photochromic Rx-ready lenses.

Watch out: The range comes from a press release, not a lens spec sheet, and camera specs aren't published. Sold in the US and Germany.

5. Best video glasses with built-in correction

VITURE Luma

From
$399

Yes

No

Luma adjusts for nearsightedness up to -6.0D with built-in dials, so many myopic users can watch without inserts. It uses Sony micro-OLED panels at 1200p and 50 degrees, weighs 77 g, draws power over USB-C with no battery, and costs $399. It plugs into USB-C DisplayPort phones, laptops and handhelds, and VITURE lists it as the entry model of the Luma line.

Watch out: The dials correct myopia only. If you are farsighted or need astigmatism correction, choose glasses that take custom inserts, such as XREAL 1S.

Questions people ask

Can I get progressive lenses in smart glasses?

Some. Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2) lists progressive and Transitions lenses through opticians, and Even offers progressives for G2 only in its retail stores. Meta Ray-Ban Display is single vision only. See how prescription works for the options.

Why do some makers quote total power and others sphere?

Meta quotes total power for Ray-Ban Meta, and lists the Optics range as SPH+CYL. Even quotes sphere and cylinder separately. Because the terms differ, give your optician the maker's exact wording instead of comparing the headline numbers.

Is Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 good for prescriptions?

Ray-Ban says Gen 3 will support both Rx and non-Rx lenses, and the limited Aviator is listed at -6.00 to +4.00. Ray-Ban hasn't published a Gen 3-specific range for the other frames yet, so we rank Gen 2 here.
