Photo and video capture
Take photos and videos from your point of view with the capture button or by voice; the front capture LED lights while capturing.[1]
Every Meta glasses model with a camera takes photos and video from your eye line, so the shot is what you were looking at. That suits parents, cyclists and travelers who want to stay in the moment instead of holding a phone up. The capture button or a voice command does the work, and a white LED on the front lights so people nearby know the camera is in use. Ray-Ban Meta Audio has no camera. For etiquette and how the light works, read recording etiquette and the capture light.

Ten of the biggest markets are shown. A tick needs an official statement for that country; "Not confirmed" means the maker hasn't said either way. For any other country use the lookup.

How it works
Press the capture button once for a photo, or press and hold to start video and press again to stop. You can also say "Hey Meta, take a photo" or "Hey Meta, take a video", and "Hey Meta, stop". The LED blinks for a photo and stays on during video. Meta's default maximum clip is 3 minutes in full HD at 30fps, or 5 minutes on Oakley Meta Vanguard, and you can change length, frame rate and resolution under Media in the Meta AI app. Meta lists 3K video for up to 3 minutes, slow motion up to one minute and hyperlapse up to 30 minutes on supported models. Captures stay on the glasses until you import them in the Meta AI app. Official steps are on how to take photos and record video.
Turn it on
- Press the capture button once for a photo, press and hold for video, or say "Hey Meta, take a photo/video".
- Open the Meta AI app and tap Import to move captures to your phone.
Tips
- Import regularly. Media must be in the Meta AI app before you can view or share it.
- Raise the maximum video length in settings if the default cuts off clips you want.
- Ask before recording people, and respect venues that ban cameras.
Limits
- Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 cannot change resolution settings and does not support 3K video, per Meta.
- No camera on Ray-Ban Meta Audio.
