Is there a subscription for Meta glasses?

No subscription is needed to use Meta glasses. You need the Meta AI app and a Meta account. A few extras differ: hearing enhancement will cost $149.99 or come with a Meta One subscription, and Meta says conversation focus may need a paid plan later.

The basics come with the glasses. Ray-Ban's and Oakley's FAQs describe photo and video capture, calls, music, messages and Meta AI by voice with no mention of a fee. What they do require is the Meta AI app on a phone and a Meta account, which setup asks you to create if you don't have one.

Hearing enhancement is the first clearly paid feature. Meta's Connect 2026 announcement says it launches in the US later this year and can be added to supported glasses for $149.99, which Meta lists as HSA/FSA eligible, or with a Meta One subscription. Meta has not named which models count as supported. Details are on hearing enhancement.

Conversation focus is free for now. Meta says it is available through the Early Access Program in the US and Canada and is free to use, but the same article says it may require a paid subscription in the future. Joining Early Access itself costs nothing in the material we have read.

Linked services follow their own terms. Spotify, Audible and other audio apps you connect use your account with that service, so a premium plan there stays a premium plan on the glasses. Meta AI on the glasses carries no charge in any material we have read, but Meta has flagged that some features may become paid, so check each feature page for changes.

What is Meta One?

It is the subscription Meta names as one way to get hearing enhancement. The sources we hold do not give its price or what else it includes.

Do I need a Meta account?

Yes. Setup in the Meta AI app asks you to log in or create a Meta account, and every model needs it.
