Smart glasses in Austria
11 models are confirmed on sale in Austria, and Meta supports 2 more models there through its brand-level country list.
Austrian buyers get the German-language version of Meta's glasses without the German extras. Meta named Austria in its May 2025 note that switched on asking questions on the go and asking about what you see, and German is one of the 13 core Meta AI languages, so the assistant runs in full here. The gap is the border: Meta Ray-Ban Display went on pre-order in Germany at 899 euros, with sales reported from 13 October 2026, but Austria is not on Meta's Display list. Walking directions in German cover Hamburg only, so Vienna, Graz and Salzburg get none. Ray-Ban's Austrian FAQ says the glasses are sold on Ray-Ban.com, in Ray-Ban stores and by certified Ray-Ban dealers. For video glasses, XREAL's EU store lists the One at 399 euros and the 1S at 499 euros, prices that apply to Austrian orders.

Buying notes
- Austrian law gives you two years of Gewährleistung on movable goods, a claim against the seller. Ray-Ban's own limited warranty runs alongside it and is also two years for purchases in the EU.
- German is one of the six offline live-translation packs, alongside Italian and Spanish, so download the pair you need before a trip. See offline translation.
- Buying Display in Germany is possible, but Meta does not list Austria as a supported country for it, so features and support may not carry over.
