The Meta Neural Band pairs separately from the Display glasses, through its own entry in the Meta AI app. Most failures in Meta's guide come from a low battery or a band that is on but not in pairing mode. The button holds are specific: one hold powers it on, a second, longer hold starts pairing, and the LED flashes white rapidly when it is ready. A force restart or a factory reset of the band clears stubborn cases.
Official steps
- Charge the band (attach the charger under the compute module; solid green = >80%).
- In the Meta AI app tap the glasses icon > plus icon > Meta Neural Band.
- Power on the band: hold its button 2 seconds until the LED flashes white and it vibrates; then hold 3 seconds until the LED rapidly flashes white (pairing mode).
- Tap 'Light is white' in the app and follow the steps.
- If it still fails, force restart the band (hold the button until the LED fades, about 8 seconds) or factory reset it (hold about 16 seconds until it flashes white and amber), then pair again.

Still not working?
If the band still is not found after a reset, contact Meta support with the band's serial number and the Display glasses' software version. Mention whether the band vibrates and lights when powered on, which helps support tell a pairing issue from a hardware one. The band is sold and supported only in the countries where Meta Ray-Ban Display is.

Meta says solid green means the band is above 80 percent charged.
Could the band just be flat?
Yes. Meta lists 18 hours of battery for the band, so one that has been worn all day may need the charger before it will power on and pair.
