Smart glasses in New Zealand
5 models are confirmed on sale in New Zealand, and Meta supports 2 more models there through its brand-level country list.
New Zealand is a recent addition to Meta's supported-countries page, which now lists it for Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta. The details are thin. Meta has not named New Zealand in its Meta AI country announcements, and we could not confirm which assistant features work here. Meta also said in 2026 that the Optics prescription frames would reach New Zealand "later this year", so check before assuming the Optics range is on shelves. Meta Glasses and Meta Ray-Ban Display are not on the New Zealand list. Features without a country limit in Meta's documentation, such as capture, calls, messaging and live translation, are the safest bets. Even Realities ships the G2 here. Treat any feature list for New Zealand as provisional until Meta updates its help pages.
